Why Become a Member?
Becoming a member of Bangladesh Travel Writers Association provides an opportunity to become part of a growing community of travel writers, photographers, filmmakers, bloggers, researchers, and creative travelers. Members can participate in professional networking, training programs, tourism events, cultural festivals, workshops, publications, and national or international collaborations. The association also supports members in showcasing their creative works and developing their skills in travel writing, storytelling, photography, and digital content creation.

Who Can Apply?
Any individual who travels and creates travel-related content may apply for membership. This includes travel writers, bloggers, photographers, filmmakers, vloggers, designers, researchers, tourism enthusiasts, and creative content creators who produce travel-related writings, books, photos, videos, animations, documentaries, or digital media content.
Students who are interested in travel, tourism, culture, and creative content creation are also encouraged to apply.
Membership Process
To become a member, applicants must first submit an application form along with the required documents and creative work samples. After review and approval by the association authority, the applicant must pay the membership fee and collect the official membership certificate and identity card.
Membership Categories
Life Member
Individuals may become Life Members through application and approval. There is no fixed limit to the number of Life Members.
General Member
General Members are selected from among the Life Members. The association will have at least 21 General Members.
Executive Member
The Executive Committee consists of 15 members elected by the Life Members of the association.
Student Member
Any school, college, or university student interested in traveling and creating travel-related content may become a Student Member.
Requirements for Membership
Applicants must submit the following documents and information:
- Completed membership application form
- Copy of National ID Card or Passport
- Professional ID Card, Business Card, or Student ID Card (for students)
- Samples or links of creative work, such as writings, articles, books, photographs, videos, animations, designs, blogs, or other travel-related content
- Recommendation from two Life Members of the association
Membership Fees
Life Membership
BDT 15,000 (One-time payment or installment facility available)
Student Membership
BDT 1,000 per year (Payable annually either in full or in two installments)
Member Code of Conduct
All members of Bangladesh Travel Writers Association are expected to maintain professionalism, honesty, creativity, and respect in all activities.
Members shall:
- Respect local cultures, traditions, religions, and communities during travel
- Avoid publishing false, misleading, offensive, or harmful information
- Promote responsible and environmentally friendly tourism practices
- Maintain ethical standards in travel writing, photography, journalism, and content creation
- Avoid activities that may damage the reputation of the association
- Respect copyright, intellectual property, and the creative works of others
- Maintain respectful behavior toward fellow members and the public
- Follow the constitution, rules, and decisions of the association
Failure to comply with the code of conduct may result in suspension or cancellation of membership according to the association’s policies and regulations.
